Happy Labor day everyone... whatever that means. The history of labor day is rooted in celebration of the American worker’s contribution to the prosperity, strength and well being of the country. Perhaps we should rename labor day, outsourcing day... or undocumented labor day... maybe I should jump off the tangent train now before I...
Anyhow, as you can see above; Paul came out to marvel at the duplicitous event. I see a lot of resemblance between Adam and Paul. We just need to put Adam in a pearl snap shirt, a COOP hat and some wranglers, then we can make a more accurate comparison.
The little ones are doing well. With the exception of Adam’s blood curdling scream when he can’t get something out, or when he just got something out, or is about to get something out. It’s funny... up until around last week I took pride in my vocabulary and use of the English language. The bulk of my daily conversation now revolves around various bodily functions and their related secretions... mainly poop. Poop is a central part of my day now. I even have a dry erase board that I use to track poop. Actually I track food or unrefined poop as I call it.. I have a column for when the food goes in and a column for when the food goes out... one for each child. After 2 weeks of sleeping for no more than 2 hours at any given time, Mary and I are cerebrally unavailable. Coordinating and tracking 10-12 feedings and 12-24 diaper changes per child daily has gone beyond our intellectual capacity... hence the poop board.
I gave some thought to inputting all the poop data into a spread sheet... that way I could possibly trend the poop based on the intake of unrefined poop. I could further extrapolate the rate of poop production so I could forecast the diaper demand. This figure, the diaper coefficient, could be used to nail down our monthly budget.
I think I fell asleep and gave up on the poop spreadsheet. These thoughts usually come to me between 1 am and 4 am... like the bottle boiling idea, brilliant!
Ok, the babies have each had their unrefined poop, are burped and napping. Dinner is on and I am ready to eat. Food for tonight’s brainstorming.
